Adventures in Osaka

Our next stop on our Japan vacation was Osaka.  We took the high speed train from Hiroshima. This time our hotel was not next to the station but downtown in the financial district area so instead of figuring out the subway, we took a taxi.  The Hilton was one of the taller buildings, which is always nice since we could have a view, which we did as you see below. Plus, as I keep saying, if you are a Hilton member and get up in status, then you get free access to the executive lounge that has free breakfast, drinks, etc. Join the travel clubs people, all of them!

The first place we went to was the Umeda building that has an observatory at the top that “floats” between two towers. They call it a floating garden, but I didn’t actually see any gardens. It was an interesting and tall building.  I don’t recall what it cost to go up there, but it was something to do for our first night.
